Because each board has its own committees, there is a local autonomy. Depending on whether the complaint, at face values, could be a violation of the Code of Ethics, they may either send a complaint forward or dismiss it.
If the complaint is moved forward from the Grievance Committee to the Professional Standards Committee, a hearing is held by the Professional Standards Committee, a hearing is held by the Professional Standards Hearing Panel, which is a subset of the Professional Standards Committee.
