Arbitration Examples (Part 1 of 2)

Let’s now look at some scenarios involving REALTOR Allen and REALTOR Rosa to determine if arbitration is an option.

 

  1. Allen paints houses part-time. Rosa hired him to paint her house, but he did not perform as promised and Rosa refused to pay him.
  2. Rosa discovers that Allen sold a property to a client of hers. Rosa believes that she, not Allen, was the procuring cause of the sale.  She is upset because she did not receive any commission.

 

Which of these situations do you think would be an arbitral matter?  Think about it for a moment and them move to the next screen to check your answer.
