Once the Professional Standards Committee has reached a decision, it is passed on to the Board of Directors of the local association of REALTORS for ratification. The decision of the Professional Standards Committee can include disciplinary action in an ethics case, which can range from a letter of reprimand to expulsion from the association. Disciplinary actions will be discussed in detail later in the course.
The right to appeal to the Board of Directors is part of the due process for the respondent.
